The Faith in Passion- Part II

Jason strolled into the forest like a veteran hunter who knew every nook and corner of the forest. Species which can crawl, walk, fly, jump, sing and attack are busy in their daily routine. His steps were slow and steady so as not to fall into a trap either set my animals or by his race. Aloof, he saw a treasure aspirant resting at a red wood tree. When Jason walked past him, he did not see any activity with the person. He held his dagger tight to avoid situation which happened with bandits. Jason poked him with his dagger but there is no counter reaction. Out of curiosity, when Jason explored the area from the other side, it was a bank of skeletons of aspirants who might have killed by wild animals.  Holding his dagger tight he explored further, found a note on a tree left by a gaffer which read- Wild animals will stab you to death. Get back to wellspring. Have a life…

Jason stepped back holding his dagger tight, not because of the note he read. Due to the tiger’s growl in the vicinity, he was not able to figure out from which direction the tiger could most probably attack. He was looking around with anticipation. An idea of attack by streak of tigers made him weak but he decided to fight till death. Abruptly a tiger launched itself onto Jason, he held his dagger tight. He was knocked to the ground. He opened his eyes with blood sprouting on his face. He saw a dead tiger where his dagger penetrated to the other side through the tiger. In course of his journey, he found fresh water and fruits which helped him stay alive till dawn. Irrespective of its heavy weight, Jason never left his dagger as he remembers Rupert White’s cautionary. Sun rose and paved way for him to move further. As he went on exploring the other side of forest, he felt a terrible cold for which he was defiant. But the temperature was descending to unbearable. As he explored further, he shivered terribly. He dropped his dagger and cuddled himself to gain heat.  From few meters away, he saw a capricious change of forest land into never ending snow world. He decided to walk.

As he stepped onto the iceberg with barefoot, he froze with uncontrollable shiver. With determination to move, Jason searched for grip in the snow. He happened to hold something strong to stand up. He discovered it to be a skeleton with a note which read- Cold will stab you to death. Get back to wellspring. Have a life…

Jason ran back into forest without a second thought. Not to get back to the city but to the tiger. He picked up the dagger on his way to the tiger. He peeled of its skin and had an overcoat within few minutes. He covered his foot with the skin of tiger and wrapped it with a thin flexible rope of a giant tree. It acted like a shoe with a lace. He carried some fruits and eatable roots of tress along with him to resist hunger. He walked into the snow world. He ran for a while to produce heat inside his body to resist the frostbites. He was tired with sunken eye lids. He stumbled across the path but never stopped.

Jason could not remember when he fell asleep. When he woke up he saw a bright sun shine with an unbearable heat wave. He saw himself in periphery of the snow world which led to a deserted land with impending heat. Upon walking into desert, he found dead bodies scattered all over of the people who died of thirst. One of the dead bodies had a note which read- Thirst will stab you to death. Get back to wellspring. Have a life…

Jason picked up the cask from the dead body and ran back into the snow world. He filled the cask with snow and held it on his back and decided to use it in emergency. He toppled in his voyage in the midst of desert which seemed to be like midsummer in Africa. He found many dead bodies which died of hunger, thirst and heat wave. But he never stopped stumbling irrespective of low energy levels. A sand storm knocked him down. He rolled on Sand Mountain due to the hard hit air. When he woke up he was dumbstruck.

Jason was woken up, not by the bright sunshine but by the series of waves. He found himself in the seashore. He gained his senses soon. He thanked his grandfather for teaching how to swim at an early age of five. He swam into the ocean with his lackluster movements. He found a boat in the midst of ocean. With great effort he boarded onto boat. His eyes were flooded not in the joy but by the sight of half eaten body of an aspirant with a note which read- ocean will stab you to death. Get back to wellspring. Have a life…

Jason slid the half eaten body with the wooden propeller which is used for rowing boat. He sailed in the ocean by means of rowing by a wooden propeller. He saw bulge in his biceps and laughed at himself for the icing on the cake which he is having with flawless diligence. He drank water in his cask constantly at regular intervals to keep himself energized. The snow he collected on the other day melted into water due to the ascending temperatures in the desert. In the midnight, the ocean roared like a hungry wild animal which hacks hysterically everything in its way. The killer waves rocked the boat. He held the boat which acted like a bolster making him resistant to the skyscraper waves. But Jason never knew he will be outsmarted by the mighty ocean. He was ushered into the deep ocean with no time to react.

Jason awoke on the seashore. He woke up disgorging unwanted content in his stomach fed by the ocean. He managed himself to stand still with a blurred vision. He focused his pupil on the mighty thing right before him. He saw huge mountains with a signboard which read- The Mountain of Treasure. He screamed out in euphoria dancing in the seashore. But he never knew he was many miles away from the treasure and the danger is waiting inside the mountains on his way to treasure to knock him down...
